....discover the neighborhood

Nomentano/Piazza Bologna

The Nomentano / Piazza Bologna area is a lively and well-connected neighborhood in Rome, known for its elegant residential streets, vibrant local life, and youthful atmosphere. Located just northeast of the historic center, it offers a perfect balance between tradition and modern urban living.

The area is characterized by early 20th-century buildings, leafy avenues, and several green spaces, such as Villa Torlonia, one of Rome’s most beautiful historic parks.

Piazza Bologna itself is a central hub, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shops, and is especially popular with students and young professionals thanks to its proximity to Sapienza University of Rome.

Excellent public transportation, including 2 metro stations (Policlinico and Bologna) on Line B and numerous bus connections, makes it easy to reach the historic center and other districts.

The neighborhood is considered safe, dynamic, and well-served, with schools, supermarkets, cinemas, sport centers and cultural venues all within walking distance.

Overall, Nomentano / Piazza Bologna is an attractive area for those who want to experience authentic Roman daily life while staying close to the heart of the city.
